N: You know that Joshua Bell concert tomorrow that it's impossible to get tickets for because it's been sold out since September and the tickets were really pricey anyway? If we get there an hour early we can get student tickets. Standing room, 300 forints.

So we did. Incidentally, 300 forints is less than a dollar fifty. The coat check was almost as expensive as the tickets.
And Joshua Bell is amazing. And the accoustics were great and I didn't mind standing at all.

I am exhausted. It's been a long week, we did a whole bunch of stuff, I ended up getting back to my apartment at three am. By the time I went to sleep it was 4. I woke up at 6:30 because the window cleaning people were here and never really went back to sleep.

I want sleep >.

Should church and state always be separate? Why or why not? What should the nature of their relationship be?

This is an interesting question, although one for which there seems to be only one possible answer. Would anyone likely to be writing on livejournal say differently? And why the use of "church"? Is that suddenly supposed to be taken to include all institutions of religion? Technically, I suppose that may be correct, but that is not the connotation, nor does it take into account where atheism is the state sponsored "church."

I'm a Christian. If you click the lj cut to view my thoughts and disagree with me, then leave, and grant me the same freedom to my beliefs as you want to have for yourself.

The Big Read reckons that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books they've printed."
1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicize those you intend to read.
3) Underline the books you LOVE.
4) Strike through what you consider a complete waste of paper & time.
5) Parenthesis the books you've read part of.
6) Reprint this list in your own LJ so we can try and track down these people who've read 6 and force books upon them

With all of us who have read significantly more than 6 on here, does that mean some people have read negative?

I don't know why it is, but every single trip I've taken this summer has involved me coming back more exhausted than I was when I went on it. Even if it's just going to the beach Friday afternoon, coming back Saturday afternoon, where I'm just riding in my friend's car. Admittedly the beach might not be the best idea since it was hardly the most relaxing group of people ever. Oh, I had fun, but spending the time worrying that C's about to break up with B is not the most relaxing way to spend the afternoon.

Not that this is particularly relevant to anyone who's going to be reading this. But the fact remains that I have these ideas about how productive I'll be when I get back and that hasn't happened once. Although this is partly due to Ultimate, which currently has me exhausted. (Yay only sitting three points of about 32?) I always seem to get dragged (willingly) off to Ultimate the day after getting back. Oh well, there are worse ways to recuperate from Vacation.

Maybe it's just the contrast. When I'm away I actually am pretty active and social, whereas the rest of this summer has been a washout, particularly in terms of research.

I am really looking forward to going back to school. Laugh if you want.

And yes, I am listening to the same thing as I was last entry. It randomly started playing when I opened the window.

*pokes it gingerly*

I have a feeling that the fact that it's half past midnight has something to do with my getting talked into this. (Loo, this is all your fault, ok?)

Yes. So. LJ. Me have now. That's about all there is to this. Hurrah.
